Biography & Credentials
Monica Bloch Kaderali, M.S., L.Ac.

Monica Bloch is a licensed acupuncturist (both nationally and in California).  She received her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California.

In San Diego, Monica worked with UCSD athletes, gaining extensive hands-on experience treating sports injuries through acupuncture.  This was in addition to her work at Acusport, a well known clinic in San Diego specializing in treating sports-related injuries.  She also studied with Z’ev Rosenberg, a well known Chinese medical herbalist and lecturer, gaining the extra knowledge and insight to treat a wide range of internal disorders.

Upon passing the state licensing exam for the state of California, Monica moved to Taiwan to study Mandarin at the Taipei Language Institute. She began in Taichong and later transferred to Taipei, commencing her studies at Shi-Da, the National Taiwan Normal University. Monica established valuable mentorships and observed at a local acupuncture clinic, learning firsthand from doctors how the medicine is practiced in China.

After spending seven months immersed in Taiwanese culture learning the language, customs, food, and history, Monica returned to the San Francisco Bay Area and opened a private practice in San Rafael, north of the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was with her patients there that Monica established some of the most rewarding connections of her life.

In 2006, she relocated to Santa Barbara, California, where she worked for the world-renowned Issels Medical Center <http://www.isselsmedicalcenter.com/> .  She worked with naturopathic physicians, medical doctors, nurses, wellness educators, and massage therapists at this state-of-the-art clinic specializing in integrative cancer therapy.  Monica found that working in an integrated medical facility was inspiring and rewarding, and believes that the work being done at the Issels Medical Center is the future of not only cancer therapy, but of medicine.

In March 2009, Monica and her husband moved back to the Bay Area.  She is now practicing in Mill Valley, California. She is grateful to have found a receptive and supportive community in Marin who appreciates her insightful, classical, and grounded training in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
