What can I expect
during an acupuncture session?
Traditional Chinese medicine is healthcare that is centered on you, the individual. For that reason, your first visit will include an extensive interview, which includes questions about your symptoms as well as the general functioning of the rest of your body; medical history, tongue and pulse diagnosis, and palpation of points and meridians. This allows your practitioner to tailor a diagnosis and treatment plan to your specific case. You should allow between 1 1/2 to 2 hours for your first visit. Following visits will take 1 hour. |
