Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of treating gynecological disorders.  Because many Chinese herbs have a hormone regulating effect, Chinese herbal medicine can be an effective tool to get hormone imbalances in check for painful menstruation or infertility.  Gynecological conditions may take some time to treat, but results are usually good with consistent treatment.  Outside of the realm of menstrual disorders, TCM can also treat vaginal infections, including bacterial vaginosis (BV) and yeast infections.  Your practitioner may prepare a douche in addition to other herbal medicines and dietary recommendations.
