Uterine Fibroids

Uterine fibroids are benign tumors within the uterus that tend to wane after menopause with the decline of estrogen.  Depending on the size, acupuncture can be helpful.  However, when the fibroids are very large and putting pressure on organs like the bladder, this is a more serious condition and may require surgery.  Because several Chinese herbs have a hormone regulating effect, Chinese herbal medicine can be helpful for this condition.  Consistent with all Chinese medical diagnoses, every person is treated individually and no two cases are alike.
