Tendonitis

This annoying inflammation of the tendon is common, especially lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) or medial epicondylitis (golfers elbow).  These two injuries are not restricted to tennis players or golfers alone.  Bartenders, hair stylists, rock climbers, baseball pitchers, and anyone who puts repetitive or excessive stress on the soft tissue structures of the elbow are at risk.

This is largely an injury of overuse.  However, rest is usually not curative.  There needs to be some intervention to stop the inflammation.  Acupuncture is a fantastic anti-inflammatory and can stop swelling and initiate the healing process (to read more about how acupuncture works, click here).
