Loose Stool

Loose stool, especially with undigested food, is considered a sign of weak digestion.  The western counterpart would be malnutrition. The mechanisms involved in warming and properly assimilating the food are interrupted, and a deficient condition is created.  Often those who suffer from loose bowel movements eat a diet of mostly raw foods like salads, smoothies, and cold beverages.  Consuming copious amounts of cold, raw foods can cause loose stool according to Chinese medicine.  Introducing more warming foods and herbs like ginger can dramatically improve the condition.
