Acute Injury

Obtaining an acupuncture treatment within 24-48 hours of an injury often produces excellent results, as far as a decrease in swelling, rapid return to normal function, and pain relief.

Examples of such injuries are muscle strains, tendon sprains, bruises, cuts, muscle micro-tears, and other trauma.  Broken bones need to be seen and set by an ER.  This is an emergency situation that is not in our scope of practice to treat and requires immediate Western medical care.
